We've added the ability to send private messages to other users! To send a message to someone, just find them under Community > Members List, and you'll see a message box on their profile. We realize that the names are not being displayed right now on the members list. This is a bug, and we're working on it. Just hover over a user's avatar, and their name will appear.

EDIT 8/19/09: Usernames are now being displayed correctly in the members list.

Also you may not have noticed that it is possible to invite people to be your friends. While visiting someone's profile, from the menu above select Connections > Request Connection. To view your current friends, select Connections > Manage Connections. In the future we hope to make this process a little more intuitive (like other community driven sites).

Feel free to test out the new system and send me a message about whatever. I'll definitely respond since what the hell else do I have to do with my time? If you send a message to someone who is online, a popup box will appear in the corner of their screen notifying them of the message.
